  12. ^w^A common tropical and subtropical bottom dwelling shark found in the western Atlantic.

  14. ^w^Shark is thought to be migratory in the Gulf of Mexico, moving inshore into water shallower than 55m in the winter, while retreating to deeper water in other seasons.
